Alpine skiing

 Competitive Alpine Skiing is divided into 4 disciplines : downhill, slalom, giant slalom and super-giant slalom ( Super G) 

 Each has different skills 

 The Safety Binding has wing, housing, release adjustment screw, base plate, brake arm, blind release lever, heel piece, toe piece & anti friction pad

 The Ski Boot has sole , adjusting catch , energy distributing bonnet, upper strap , tongue , polyamide inner boot , upper cuff , buckle , power bar , tension control, heel grip and lower shell of boot 

The skier usually have these slalom clothing and equipment-  a goggles, slalom helmet , ski glove , slalom ski, slalom ski pole , leg guard , hand guard , padded sweater and padded ski trousers 

 Courses are defined by pair of gates 

 Racers must pass through each gate to complete the course 

 The skier who completes the course in shortest time wins .
