ZIKA Infection

 Spread by mosquitoes 

Mosquitoes also spread Dengue, Chickengunya 

Zika can be transmitted by sexual activity with an infected person 

First identified in monkeys at Uganda 

5 years later it was identified in human 

Dangerous for pregnant women 

It may affect baby's health especially growth of brain 

Mostly there is no symptoms but some common symptoms like rashes , fever, muscke pain, headache etc.

Treatment- medication by doctor, rest and plenty of water 

PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN CURE

Use mosquito repellent , net 

Do not allow water to stagnant in places near home 

Use of contraceptive methods
