Goddess Draupadhi

    DRAUPADHI- a unique and strong character in the longest epic Mahabharatham. 

   It may sound funny. Because I have not seen or people who exist on earth haven’t seen her. As she is a goddess, still her character makes me proud of her. Every women on earth should be bold. She is a perfect example. If I’m in her situation I would certainly say No for many issues. Let me say how I admired her....

   Draupadhi, daughter of King Drupada who was born from fire after Putrakameshti yajna along with his brother Dhristadyumna. As her father doesn’t want a daughter but he doesn’t have any other choice. Draupadhi was born. Due to anger he curses that she doesn’t have a peaceful life. But later he understands a female also has equal rights.  We all have enjoyed our childhood which doesn’t come back. But Draupadhi was unlucky as she haven’t experienced it. 

   Marriage is always a special occasion for everyone . Draupadhi’s wish was to marry a man with these 5 qualities- moral, valiant , handsome, knowledgeable, loving. But it’s impossible to see all this in one man. In Swayamvaram they held a contest based on Archery. Karnan wasn’t allowed because he belongs to low caste. Arjuna won the competition and Draupadhi gets married to Arjuna. When they reached home, they informed to Kunthi that they have a surprise. Kunthi was in meditation so she informs to equally share among them. It was shocked how can a woman be shared among 5 men. As it was their mother's wish, they have no other way. No woman can digest this. But she accepted as Lord Krishna said everything happens for good sake. She was also called as PANCHALI. She also gets a boon to be pure every morning. THIS PROVES A WOMEN CAN WITHSTAND ALL PAIN.

   Next, kingdom of Hastinapur invites Pandavas to play gambling. Yudhisthar starts losing his wealth, elephants, his brothers. Finally he even loses Draupadhi. So Duryodhana plans to humiliate her. Draupadhi was being dragged and her Saree was being unwrapped. SHE begs all elders to leave her. But no one listens. All of them were ready to rape her. Lord Krishna protects her . THIS WOULD BE EMBARRASING FOR A WOMAN. She takes an oath until she wash her hair with Dushashana blood she won’t tie her hair. IN TODAY’S SCENARIO EVEN A SMALL GIRL IS BEING RAPED. MANY HASHTAGS BUT NO REVENGE ON RAPIST. INSTEAD OF TEACHING GOOD AND BAD TOUCH,  TEACH THEM DONT TOUCH.

   When the king asks her a boon, she requests to free her husband’s and return their weapons. Even after being humiliated due to others carelessness , these boon are very strong and emotional. EVERY MAN SHOULD RESPECT HIS WIFE AND HER FEELINGS AND OTHER WOMEN.

   When the KURUSHETRA WAR was nearing Lord Krishna informs only Abhimanyu son will be ruling the kingdom. Draupadhi pleads that she need everyone to be alive. She says- a women can tolerate all embarrassing moments And pain but no mother can tolerate their sons death . ALL LOVE WILL DIE IN FRONT OF MOTHERS LOVE.

   I can elaborate more but this would be enough to say about her – a lady with feminism, bold , wanting for justice . Let’s all be strong to fight against all evils.....
